re: Will new St. Joseph Academy president continue pushing LGBTQ+ identities?

That is very helpful! Thank you!
I think the US has gotten rapidly radicalized since 2012. We are barely 10 years past the legalization of “gay marriage”, and now we have men buying babies through surrogates and teenage girls obtaining “gender affirming” mastectomies.

Your perspective is what I have heard from many parents who have been paying close attention. Thank you for sharing it.

What is the history of thar club at CHS? What is it called, and what is its purpose? Is it part of a larger organization? Is it listed on the CHS website?

The first requirement on the new president’s job description:
[The next President will:
Be a practicing Catholic who embraces and lives the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph.]
LINK
From the active website of the sisters, who still live in Baton Rouge, related to their advocacy in promoting LGBTQ+ identities.

I completely believe you. I know this to be the case with other students as well. It becomes toxic empathy, where the young women are brainwashed into thinking that murderers on death row, or violent men in the U.S. illegally, are the true victims of our justice system. I understand Sister Helen Prejean’s advocacy, but perhaps all these sisters would have better served the world by staying in the teaching profession. How much heartache and horrible life choices by adults, could have been avoided by correct moral formation by a united community of caring adults? Yet since the 1960s, nuns and priests have radically focused on the problems of adults, while allowing Catholic schools serving low income families to close. Extremely short sighted tragedy spurred on by “the spirit of Vatican 2”. And of course the constant fear mongering about overpopulation. It fits very nicely with the “born that way” narrative and encouraging relationships that are naturally sterile!

It seems like SJA has no legal, financial or moral obligation to align themselves with diocesan expectations of a Catholic school. If anyone can clarify their obligations to the diocese, please do.

I understand the confusion. Please read the OP and see that the order of sisters who began SJA, now promote Fr. James Martin, SJ and his Outreach ministry. The article you referenced, is from the Outreach ministry website. Fr. Martin will not state publicly that sexual contact outside of heterosexual, lifelong, monogamous marriage, is immoral. He does not preach accurate Catholic teaching. He also thinks “gender affirming care” for minors (meaning puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and surgeries) are to be decided between parents and doctors. Why then are the sisters from the order who started SJA, promoting him?

Thank you for this feedback. It is consistent with what I have heard from many parents. It is truly so unfortunate. Catholic girls at an all girls Catholic high school should not have to choose between living out their Catholic faith, and being of service to others.

Thank you for this feedback! At least now your daughters’ worldviews are no longer controlled by their high school, in order to graduate!

You are exactly right that it is all a slippery slope. Thank God enough liberals were alarmed by “transitioning” children, that they became child protection advocates alongside traditional Christians. Fortunately young adults are returning to or coming into traditional church communities, where no one will seek to transition anyone else’s children!

That makes great sense, considering worldviews.

It must be frustrating for enrolled students who are concerned by what they are expected to believe and say, that runs contrary to Catholic teaching. I wonder which faculty and staff at SJA are the most faithful to Catholic teaching?

I have compassion for people with same sex attraction, who were told by people they trusted, that they were “born that way”. It is interesting to me that the therapists who practice reintegrative therapy, note that their younger clients understand sexual feelings can change, because they have peers who identify as bi-sexual.

Thank you for your post! If you have any more information about that presentation (when it occurred, who from SJA approved that speaker), please let me know!

You are correct. Thank God so many priests ordained more recently, are faithful to the teachings of the Church!

A fascinating find on the history of the drag group that dresses as nuns, who are promoted by Outreach, the group the Congregation of St. Joseph encourages others to support!
[According to a press release in response to the Dodgers controversy from the San Francisco branch of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the organization was founded “in response to the AIDS crisis, when gay men, who their faiths and families had abandoned because of their orientation, were sick and dying.”]

I have no issue with religious sisters ministering to the ill and dying, but what role should high school girls play in that ministry?

Thank you for noticing my misspelling. I corrected in OP. Yes, “autogynophile” is a word I very rarely type. If you would like to see the independently funded research by women who expose predatory men preying on women and children (as well as vulnerable men), please check out the articles from Reduxx Magazine. One wonders why their well sourced articles are hardly ever circulated by mainstream media?

For those interested in the history of feminism (as distinct from advocacy for protections for women and children), Joe Rogan here interviews Rachel Wilson, a Greek Orthodox mother who wrote the book Occult Feminism. She notes that early feminist advocates in the U.S. were adulterers, prostitutes and “witches” and one re-wrote the Bible to fit her desires. She also notes there are less than 10 letters preserved of the supposed 1,000s of letters women supposedly sent to Margaret Sanger, praising her pro abortion advocacy.

To learn specifically how the field of psychology can work to destroy Christian belief, see this EWTN article about how within a few short years in the 60s, an order of CA nuns went from 560 sisters to almost none, and all but 1 of their 60 schools closed.

For an honest historical perspective, check out professor Nancy Percy’s book, The Toxic War on Masculinity - How Christianity Reconciles the Sexes.

Someone has said that it is not worth arguing with a priest about the existence of God, because the priest will always win. If however the priest becomes involved in sexual sin, the priest himself will come to reject believe in God.

Might you know which year that was?
I was told that nuns or teachers took SJA students on a mission trip to San Francisco in the 1980s. Might that be accurate? At the height of the AIDS crisis?
