I wouldn’t say it lead to a crash. The helo flying into a CRJ is the problem. VFRs are required not to hit other aircraft. 200’ off altitude indicated is within tolerance. 100’ vertical separation isn’t what air traffic does.

I was told the incorrect altitude is a huge nono, but of course that is only one of several variables that had to unfortunately line up for the helo to crash into the CRJ.

Yep, way too early for a President to immediately go that route the day after a horrific incident like this. It could very well be that DEI contributed to this, but there is a time and place for that. Yesterday should have been about grieving and not jumping to pointing fingers when the investigation is in its infancy.

What I’m telling you is the altitude isn’t necessarily incorrect. 300’ off is a busted altitude. 200’ off is not a busted altitude.

The crash clearly doesn't happen if the helo is at the proper height, so I'm not sure what you're arguing here.

That reeks of BS. I'd imagine if you overlaid all flights at any given moment around an airport it would look similar.
