Moved my child to private this year after six years of a very good public school. The middle schoool had multiple fights with guns and knives confiscated during the first week. Noped right on out of there.
We paid $18K this year and it goes up to $22K next year. High school is close to $40K annually. My wife’s (no pics) company provides tuition assistance to the tune of about $10K annually plus we also have access to Georgia GOAL that kicks in another $4K.

I consider that tuition money a good investment. I would do it again
What would you consider a good return on that money you are spending?

U-High is a great option for BR parents if you can get your kids in. They give preferential treatment to LSU employees, but you won't find a better deal for like 5k per kid.

Having happy, healthy, well adjusted kids scoring at the top of their class. Getting full scholarships to the college of their choice. Being super active in extracurricular activities. Having good relationships with their peers.
That's what I would consider a good return.

if the priest knows you and are actually involved - you will be ok Plus, if you can afford tuition, you can pay the stipend the church asks
What part of that makes sense when it comes to do anything with a church? I guess that’s just way some Catholics do things, I guess it’s better than the other things certain Priests have done.

We pay $680 a month for one child. That is with some tuition assistance.

Over 20k a year for 3 at a K-8 catholic school. Sucks but my kids aren’t hard enough to make it in general population. Would be shanked with quickness.

I really hope you're trolling
If it’s Episcopal, that sounds about right.

Our baby will be a SR in August, so school districts are about to be irrelevant to us other than how they impact our home value.

The colleges of their choice. What does it matter to you which colleges my children selected?

None. I said specifically that the 32 on the ACT gave them the scholarships.
The strong extracurricular activities gave them discipline, confidence, community, and other intangibles.
As well as Coogan accounts to pay for extra expenses like sororities etc.

Holee shite. That's what I paid for two kids for pre-school.
I'd tell them to learn how to take the shank, but my daughter would probably make it messy.

I live in Louisiana of course I send my kids to private school.
As far as cost goes well I’ve got one arm and one leg left.
