Streets are actually draining pretty quickly.
Been sitting in that Elysian overpass for about 30-40 mins but starting to move a little. Almost to the top! Waiting to see the 5 flooded cars inevitably blocking traffic now

My sis is by Brother Martin and not too worried. But I’m in Covington with no idea how bad it is.

This could be very bad. Those dangerous pools could’ve overflown by now

Nice little shower should help the azaleas.

We are in Jamaica and I stood on the beach in the rain today just enjoying the fact it was raining. Feels like forever since we’ve seen a drop.

No flooding issues here. You ran out of legit NOLA bashing material and just made up stuff?

To be fair, a lot of the usual suspects did have deep water yet again. Not the end of the world but not convenient either. Cars getting off 610E at Elysian still had to go through water over their bumpers long after the rain stopped

I’m actually shocked at how little flooding i encountered on my drive home. This is the exact out of the clear blue sky storm that floods whole neighborhoods. I guess covid helped clear out the catch basins.
In any event. It’s a pretty cool and pleasant evening out right now.

Very nice now.
I suspect the pump station in your neighborhood was turned on more quickly than gentilly was as the primary difference. Feels like that is the actual answer we get 3 days later for why one area was fine and another had 18 inches in the street.
