I agree with this sentiment. It'll be packed for a while and then level to a regular crowd. Let's hope they can keep the loitering under control.

40 bucks in The Colony to play for an hour per bay.
So if you split it between 4 people, it's 10 an hour.

It really appeals to a broad audience. It is reasonably priced if you are splitting it with a group. Very similar to a bowling alley set up. You rent a bay by the hour.. I think maybe like $40/hour during peak nights and weekends?
I would be surprised if any top golf has ever failed. They seem to be pretty selective with where they build them and there aren’t very many, so I would think they have done a ton of research on the market.

The burb population is greater than the city and are all majority white. The urban area is 600k vs 228k in the city limits

I mean first off that’s just completely false. There is a sizable chunk of the Asian population playing and depending on where you are the Asian youth are playing more than white kids.
Second, there is also a good sized African American golf community.
Thirdly top golf =\= golf so it’s not really relevant

The Top Golf in Nashville just prints money.
It was packed when it was 20 degrees outside. Its a party venue for everyone, even non-golfers.

A good sized AA golf community in Baton Rouge? What courses have you been to here and played?
So top golf isn't golf. I guess the bowling alley isn't bowling either?
It's going to teeter along the line of being too expensive and not having enough people to support it or it not and it being overrun by trash.
If I'm not gonna go hit balls, why would I go there? Serious question
