The intersection of Brughtside and Nicholson is at peak cluster the weekend of the biggest LSU game of the season. The Project Green Light funds for that work has been in the City/Parish account for years, but she delayed it and other projects for no reason. They finally started the project a few weeks before students returned in August and now its a fricking mess, right in time for the Florida game.

Phase 1 started and finished before Kip left. Funds were there for Phase 2 at the time she took office. She delayed several Phase 2 projects around the city for some reason despite having funds.

Considering that they couldn’t afford the money to finish the few remaining Green Light projects and added some of those into the MovEBR plan, which includes the widening of Nicholson in 2 segments, the OP is extremely dumb.

This is one of about eight projects that have yet to be completed that were in the Greenlight program.
For some reason the current administration has refused to step up to the plate and put these programs first since we now have MovEBR which is supposed to finish the GL program.
I believe projects voted on almost 20 years ago should come ahead of this new plan.
We are paying two road taxes now, and it would be bad not to do GL ahead of MovEBR.
