Rhode Island

Just let Massachusetts annex you already, as there's basically no difference between South Boston and Providence. You're not large enough to be a real state any more, Rhode Island. It took me fifteen minutes to drive through you.

7. Idaho

Sorry, Idaho, but you're the least interesting and most backwards of the Mountain West states. Boise is cool and up-and-coming, but the rest of Idaho is difficult to access for travelers and honestly has some freakin' weird arse residents. To top it off, there's not much to do here.

Providence is a cool town, and Idaho is a very underrated state.

Glad to see these on the list and hopefully people stay away.

I'm pretty positive they produce natural gas:

It's a byproduct of oil production in the Bakken. The future of both are in real jeopardy in North Dakota. The Bakken plays likely won't survive this downturn, especially now that the main pipeline has been shut down.

Also the two worst state drives in the US are 70 across Kansas and 80 across Nebraska.

I-80 doesn't get much better in Wyoming.

Louisiana should be on that list. Pine trees and swamp gets pretty old fast when you are looking for outside recreation.

Louisiana probably gets a pass because he's talking about places to visit. New Orleans is one of the most visited cities in the country.

Louisiana just isn't a great place to live.

Every state has something worth visiting.

Even Kansas.

Amazing state
Its fairly obvious that whoever wrote that article has never been to the majority of places listed.

The Sawtooth range in Idaho is the prettiest and most overlooked backountry I've ever visited and camped. There's entirely too many Californians in Boise these days though.

Kansas is THE best deer hunting state in the USA, but if you don't hunt, there ain't much there. The people are really nice. The entire state is one giant farm!

9. Indiana

Indiana has the misfortune of being a fairly well-populated state with little to do inside it. Its positives include Indianapolis, the Indy 500, the Hoosier National Forest, and a sliver of coastline along Lake Michigan. That's really it. If you were wondering, the food there sucks and there ain't a dash of spice to be found in that entire state.

that's not entirely true. i just moved here and there is a popeyes at least.

2. North Dakota

I thought this state was beautiful. It's the prairie with a dash of western hills. But there is wildlife everywhere and the pheasant hunting was great.

Totally agree for number 1. Kansas is frickng terrible. Stayed in the El Dorado/ whicitard are for 3 months when I got out of school. Miserable place that feels like an oven in the summertime. The only good thing about Kansas is that you are almost to Colorado

I hope I can move to Rapid City before the Californians discover it.

Only the delta is this way. The rest is mostly rolling hills

You can experience better Southern culture in other Southern states.

Actually I think MS has the best food and restaurants in the south behind only Louisiana. We are also definitely #1 in music culture

If you're looking for urban nightlife, you won't find any of that in the entire state. Mississippi

This is false though many areas are pretty bad as far as nightlife goes

You can enter Delaware from New Jersey and also from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, not just from Philadelphia. But yeah..I don't know anything great about Delaware.
