Last night, me/wife/toddler are in the living room chilling, my wife is going through her phone and shows me a picture of a dog she treated at work (she's a vet), and the toddler says "let me see"... she shows him... "look at the doggie"... and the toddler says...

... in perfect English...

"When I was sixteen, I had a dog just like that"...

Little dude can barely count to sixteen.

We quizzed him a little, and he offered no other information except that he is certain he had a dog just like that when he was sixteen.

So tonight I googled this topic title and there are crazy stories about this phenomenon. University studies, etc.

Any of you parents experience this kind of thing?

Thing is, he's not your kid. I would ground him until he tells you who his real parents are. Then, you can have sex with his mom without guilt.

I bought some knex stuff off Amazon because it was on sale and i thought it was cool, got it for my 3 year old even though its way to advanced for him.

We build a windmill that powered a water wheel that filled up a cup.

We get done and he just looked at it and was like "its just a simple machine " and then walked away.

Pretty weird.

There are a lot of stories like this I saw on YouTube. There are kids who said they were firefighters and worked in the twin towers who remember dying when it collapsed. That would scare the shite out of me if my son started talking like that.

Give him a pen and tell him to write his name when he had the doggy at 16.

After he writes/scribbles, turn it upside down reflecting in a mirror.

You will see the name of his former self.

SO's kid would sometimes talk about his 'other mommy' when he was around 4 or 5. He stoped doing it when he got older and has no memory of it now.

The University of Virginia School of Medicine has a legitimate research project investigating the phenomenon because there are so many credible reports. I normally dismiss subjects like this out of hand, and I'm honestly very skeptical, but I've had a couple of personal experiences that intrigue me.
