I was a kid in the 80’s, and bell bottoms were a no-go fashion taboo.

My childhood straddled the 70s & 80s. Bell bottoms were super popular in the 70s. But by about 82-83, they were not to be seen.
I always thought they looked ok on girls, but for guy they looked goofy at best. That’s why, even in the 70s when they were super popular, I would not wear them.

We were stationed in Japan. The Navy phasing out Bell Bottoms ......Yokohama NAS $2 a pair ....I could imagine girls paying $50 a pair in NYC.
