Joseph is interesting for sure. In addition to Mary being of the lineage of King David, Joseph is also of David’s lineage. This ensured Jesus as the legal heir to the Davidic throne, ensuring the Messiah's royal lineage through adoption and legal right, not just biology (via Mary), satisfying Jewish tradition.

Jesus was the plan long before his birth and God brought it all about. Truly amazing.

This is a cool Christmas song that might capture some of what Joseph felt about Jesus.
