Professional help.

Doing on your own you will fail multiple times, I promise.

They hide everywhere and anywhere. They have to be heated to like 120 degrees but their eggs even hotter for a pretty decent time.

Throw everything you want to keep in bags and anything washable wash them on high heat for two cycles.

It's a nightmare. I got them after vacation. Was soul draining. Just call a pro, pay the heavy fee, and get it taken care of. It's not worth all you will have to do to kill them yourself. And no...those dumb arse sprays will not clear them out.

You also need to understand going into the house you may have them now at your place. If one gets on you...it's over. These things breed insanely quick. If you go in, go in different clothes and keep them in the car. Change before you leave. The other clothes put in a bag and tie it tight, and don't open it till it is being washed.

I had them in an apartment I rented after college. Either came from a neighboring unit or from a Caribbean vacation. Had a terrible leasing company that refused to pay for treatment with a ton of back and forth.

Pretty awful to treat but possible to diy. Essentially washed and dried everything in the room multiple times. Threw out the mattress. Vaccumed/cleaned every inch of all furniture Vacuumed the entire place twice every day for a week. Bought some high quality bed bug stuff that the pros use. Bought a mattress cover and new mattress. Inspected the bed and sheets every night for a couple of weeks. Never saw one again for the next few months before moving.

Those things hide in the tiniest cracks and are actually pretty fast for being so tiny. I suggest finding one and bagging it for your contractor so he can be sure it’s bed bugs.

Daughter brought them home from a house that she was babysitting for...

As many have stated, food grade Diatomaceous Earth is used by many people to treat them. I purchased a pump with a nozzle that allowed me to push DE under all of the base boards to stop them from getting out of that room. I also removed all outlet covers and pumped it in there. Pumped into any crevice or corner in the furniture.

Removed all bedding, and clothes from all drawers and closets. Took them to the laundromat and washed everything twice...it was a great way to spend Mother's Day...still joke about that!

Hired a company to fog the bedrooms on that side of the house. He also gave us some treated strips that we tied into trashbags with all of the shoes from the closet. had to keep that tied up for 48 hours.

Purchased a cheap shop vac to vacuum all of the dead ones for a several days after treatment, then threw it out.

No problems since. It was expensive, and total pain, but you really don't have a choice.

Tip #1: Don’t get them!

Saw a guy on TV once that had a beagle that was trained to sniff them out. Guy said, “If there’s one bed bug in this home, he’ll find it.” Was amazing.

So go to the shelter and find a beagle to adopt. Train it to sniff out bed bugs. Profit.

There is a cover you can buy at Bed Bath and Beyond. It slike ahundred bucks. It covers your bed completely and it kills the bed bugs.

Another way is to put sticky traps underneath each of your bed post so if they are not in your bed and coming form somewhere any path to get to you would end up with them being stuck.

FInally. Nuke it with Orkin.

Like the other guy said, could be fleas. I've dealt with fleas multiple occasions and it sucks. Have had to bomb the house several times, but it worked.

I worked at an apartment complex during college for a few years and dealing with bed bugs is something that you really need to hire a professional service for. You’re gonna have to get rid of the beds and probably most if not all the furniture and then have the professional service properly gas the place. If you do not do these things then they will come back and you will be spending more money to properly treat it the second time around.

Okay. Did this once years ago.

Go to Home Depot and buy the bed bug spray. It comes in gallons with a little spray head attached. I used 4 gallons for a 3 br house. Here are the focus areas. Mattresses Chairs and couches. Carpet.

For the mattresses just spray the frick out of them. Cut out the bottom liner of the box spring also and spray the frick out the inside.

Couches and chairs. Spray every crack and crevice inside and out. If your couch has a liner in the bottom like the box spring cut that shite out and spray the frick out of the inside.

For the carpet concentrate on the edges and saturate them heavily.

Take a day or two short vacation for the fumes to reside.

The exterminator quoted me like 500 bucks but the chemicals at Home Depot only cost me like 75 bucks.

Basically spray everything fabric heavily and you should fine.

Edited: I had success with the spray. Like I said I used 4 gallons. Soaked everything. Maybe the people that failed with the spray didn’t use enough
