Honestly I find that's pretty typical. Both my girls became really attached to me around age 3.

They focus on one gender at a time . It is normal .
She will only want Daddy soon. They go back and forth several times.

I'm not sure my daughter was even aware of my existence until she was one. Then she got super clingy out of nowhere. It was awesome. But you can't force it. It will happen naturally.

Tips for a 1 year old daughter

I can't imagine she gives good service. Probably can't even understand your order

I wouldn't tip her. I know she's your daughter but teach her that she can't rely on handouts to be successful in the real world and she needs to work harder at the alphabet before trying to make it on her own as a waitress

My 1 year old daughter is the same way only with me instead of my wife.

I don't know what advice to offer, but I do find every opportunity to make her laugh. I wrestle with her, I sit on the floor with her and play. These are things my wife doesn't do nearly as often. Literally at this moment I'm sitting on the couch watching cartoons with her while my wife is out.

My daughter will soon be 26. Trust me it won't be long before she attaches herself to you. She will figure out how to get whatever she wants from or through you. I will let you know at what age they stop.LOL

Mine is almost a year and a half old and she switches back and forth.

One week when she is with me, all I hear is "mommy?" along with "mooommy!!!" when she cries.

The next week it flips to "daddy"

Time, just spend time at that age. It reverse in my house, my girl wants nothing to do with MOM or the other kids, a true daddy's girl, but she was a premi, and herbMom was in the hospital awhile, so she just bonded with me during that time..

She's just playing hard to get. You need to play even harder to get. Start spending less time with your family, go out at night and drink more. Like most girls, she only wants what she can't have so deny her that father-figure and she'll be begging for your attention in no time.

It's pretty simple....The more time you spend n play with the little ones, the more attached they will become to you.

Totally normal for her to favor mom.

Just talk/read to her. Hold her as much as you can

Lol

Me and buddies that had kids same age as mine used to say same thing.
It'll change... Mine is a daddy's girl now.

Main thing is to let her talk to u and make it a habit to just sit down and listen. even if its just giggling. mine is a lot older now and will still sit and talk to me for hours.
