Tipping Priests for Baptism

What's the going rate now? Gave $50 for my first child 3 years ago. Is that still acceptable?

I would have asked some of the other people in your church or in your family. This kind of stuff will turn into a cluster fck of ignorant jackasses letting you know all of their thoughts about church, etc around here.

It's not a joke, but, it should be. Ridiculous that catholic priests who are supposed to live a megar life expect a tip for one of the most holy times of a child's life. I donate a lot of money to the Catholic Church and find it crazy that tipping for a baptism is Ok

im not familiar with catholic religion, but us baptist dont do any pastor tipping for baptism

Is this just a Catholic thing? Is it different because protestant baptisms are a part of the service?
