What's the going rate now? Gave $50 for my first child 3 years ago. Is that still acceptable?

I would have asked some of the other people in your church or in your family. This kind of stuff will turn into a cluster fck of ignorant jackasses letting you know all of their thoughts about church, etc around here.

3-5 inch tip is usually enough for a priest

It's not a joke, but, it should be. Ridiculous that catholic priests who are supposed to live a megar life expect a tip for one of the most holy times of a child's life. I donate a lot of money to the Catholic Church and find it crazy that tipping for a baptism is Ok

priests and altar boys, north louisiana baptists, irrelevant quote by christopher hitchens, pointless reference to richard dawkins

I don't think they expect it. I do it to show appreciation.

Posted on 5/20/15 at 7:45 pm to CorkSoaker
Is this just a Catholic thing? Is it different because protestant baptisms are a part of the service?
Posted on 5/20/15 at 7:45 pm to 3HourTour
I thought they gave the tip?
