I'm having a hard time coming up with a worse idea for a date night than this with a bumble chick that you are just getting to know...

But still seems like people honestly think going out to eat dinner and to the movies is a good idea for a date

I would typically go to lunch or a late lunch. I'm gonna be eating anyway, so why not?

Sounds like they’re hookers, then. I doubt many meth heads are trolling bumble/POF/whatever for dick with no strings attached.

There are definitely borderline hookers on OkCupid. They usually have extremely provocative pictures and mention wanting a "generous" man or straight up say they want to be getting something out of an encounter other than sex.

Lunch or dinner is great for a date. Movies are not, I agree. But sometimes chicks mention going to see a movie so I go along with it. Especially if it's something we both really want to see. For example I took a chick to see Dunkirk because we were both really into history and it gave us something to talk about. But I'm not going to bring a chick to the movies to see some shitty romcom because she wants to see it and I don't give a shite about it.

I showed up to a first date with a big electric motor once. This chick mentioned she was looking for one to try and build something to make yarn. I remembered, so I brought one to Cowbell for lunch.

I had no interest in yarn, but I helped her build the thing anyway

yea, I never understood movie dates. Seems like that would be even weirder if you meet someone online and go see a movie. You can't talk to each other and get to know each other sitting in a movie.

I didn't even think about it like that. I'm not desperate, and I don't go out at night or go on dates explicitly looking to have sex. I was just interested in building the thing, and I had a motor and switch sitting on my shop table at the time.

If you're older than 21 and can't call someone and get it in within a few days, you're doing it wrong

Dinner is a good idea because you find out how they treat the waitstaff, what kind of manners they have, and if you wanna get real judgy you can determine what level of class a person has based on what they order to drink and eat.

For you Dinner is a good idea maybe. I agree as to your reasons but I won't do a meal on a 1st date. Happy hour and an hour of good conversation is what I go for.

A movie date is the worst thing a guy looking to get laid can do. You can't show her you have social skills being quiet for 90 min.

You can learn a lot about a person with some tequila.

I certainly prefer happy hour versus a coffee date.

I use late coffee dates A good bit. Go when Starbucks is not too far from closing. Built in escape route. If things go well you can always extend the date.

Doesn't Starbucks close at 11?

I didn't picture girls in Houma being big on Starbucks
