Your body goes on autopilot when it has fewer new experiences. You can break up routines to help slow down time. Take different routes when driving, try new foods, brush your teeth or use a fork with the opposite hand, sleep on a different side of the bed, exercise in a different order, spend a weekend day driving to visit a friend instead of texting, bring a child to an event neither of you have ever been to before, journaling about a new event every couple of days helps your mind to focus on the new experiences (though daily journaling about emotions or routine things has not been shown to help), introduce a new hobby (something like puzzles or a new board game or watch collection or feeding humming birds can easily be done without much time developing a new skill set like sports or music requires) or anything else out of the ordinary will help slow things back down a bit. The speed of time obviously stays the same, we all know that. But how our mind processes it changes as we age, so changing things up is the best way to slow down time.
