The wood appearing tile is going to be dated looking in ten years.

It looks fine to have tile in a Florida room or sunroom.... Foyer, bath, kitchen, laundry...

If it’s tile that looks like wood, then it’s fine.

How will that work?

Something that looks just like wood will be dated vs wood?

I like the look a lot, but this wouldn't surprise me.

It will. It doesn't look "just like wood." Remember wood panelling during the 1970s.

We have large Spanish tile in a keeping room, connected to kitchen. Since we have large dogs, we spend most of our time in the kitchen, and the sitting room. Large dogs are hell on antique pine floors

Well all wooden walls are pretty damn dated, not just paneling.

If wood tile goes out of flavor, I'd imagine people will be down on wood altogether too.

Fwiw, I don't have any wood tiles, just wondering about the trend.

Wasn’t actual wood dated for a while? Everybody covered hardwood floors with carpet in the 70s-80s.

Everything looks dated eventually. Even shades of wood stain are trendy. As long as floors are clean, it’s hard for me to care what kind of material people use.

I don’t know if it’s trashy, but it sure as hell isn't classy. That’s for sure.

Pretty sure OP is talking about ceramic tile or traditional vinyl square tiles
