I have known Bret most of my life. I have known his family most of my life. My heart goes out to his sister and brother and his Dad.

I first knew him as "Shmo", then "coach", and then just Bret. Known him nearly as long as I remember, didn't see him as often in recent years, but whenever I did we always had a good talk. I will always remeber him as a friend, no matter where he was and in what situation he always brought a smile to my face.

I've known Bret since the third grade at a little school called Trafton. He was the quarterback for our pee wee football team and a classmate and friend. Hadn't seen him in years but always think of him as a friend. He was all about his son from everything I knew. Glad to see so many people loved and respected Bret. RIP my friend, you have left one hell of a legacy behind and many many people that will look after your boy.
