Walked in with my pocket knife, no issues.
I forgot mine in my pocket. Thank God there was a friend in my group who wasn’t going to the game. I gave it to him and told him I’ll get it from him next tailgate. If he wasn’t there I would have had to walk back to the tailgate near Burbank just to put my knife in my vehicle.

LoL. I wonder when TSA will adopt that strategy? Line too long? Open it up.
They do that now - line's long, leave your shoes on, leave your laptop in your bag etc and keep moving.

I saw a guy in full upper body armor when walking in at like 90 degrees. I just looked at him and said "that can't be comfortable."

I had the opposite experience. I had my phone out but left my keys and wallet in my pocket like the sign instructed. I walked up to the detector, put my phone in the basket, and the lady working there told me I had to take everything out of my pocket. I told her she and her sign need to get on the same page. Of course, she didn't like that, so we had a few more words. It would help if they trained the people working the detectors.

We had the same exact experience as medtiger

Metal detectors, background checks, they keep weeding all the criminals out pretty soon we won’t have any players on the field or TAF directors in the suites
I know you are saying this sort of tongue and cheek, but a team with what? Close to 120 players, if a few get into some legal trouble all of a sudden all of the players are criminals.
As for as the TAF directors, that's probably where the real criminals are.

They were off by the time that I got to the front of the line before kickoff. Then after that we got to stand in line to get on one of two elevators to bring 1500+ people up to the Skyline Club. Missed half of the first quarter and was in line before the band took the field.

I had no problem walking in with my metal whisky flask and glock.
These comments have me rolling.
