Inner city? Oh well.
It's in a rough shopping center, but it's not inner city. It's right at the corner of Plank and Hooper/Harding. If you catch the interstate coming from Baker, Central or Zachary, you drive right past it.

For the "Plank Rd" stereotype- most of Plank near this is closed in because it faces the airport runways, and the 2 nearest businesses are a Chevy dealership and the Coca Cola bottling plant.

I think a friend of mine owns the shopping center.

What is this town coming to when you can't even go out with some friends and enjoy a night out having some drinks on Plank.

Why was Ickey put in custody? I thought that's what a concealed carry was supposed to do? Fire back to shorten the shooting and quell the shooter. That's what I constantly read atleast... Isn't he a hero?

Why can't these people aim?

I've heard this discussion many times. It has zero to do w/aim. Just as Bubba did when he shot the juke box, he hit right where he was aiming. The problem is (assuming you consider non-mortal wounds a "problem"), people who patronize that establishment and those like it have survival skills about like a damn pouldeau. How many times y'all ever shot a pouldeau, and it just went stone dead? Not many, I'ma tell you that. They'll fly off, cripple around, act a fool, be lame, and anything BUT die.

Now, your pintail, or your mallard, or your wood duck? Shoot him, and he folds up and dies. Likewise, if a man sitting in Commander's Palace gets shot, he's dead before his face hits the turtle soup.

It's basic genetics.

There may not be many who sound differently, but they are definitely out there.
