ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. ( WGNO ) — A joint investigation by the Louisiana State Police Special Victim’s Unit, working with the FBI and the Madisonville Police Department led to the arrest of three people for alleged child exploitation on Friday, March 15.

LSP leaders said 24-year-old John Anthony Campanella III, of Mandeville, 36-year-old Ross Brignac, of Mandeville, and 41-year-old Stuart Stringer, of Denham Springs, were arrested following an investigation.

Investigators said each person was charged with computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles. All three were booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.

This is an ongoing investigation.

I wonder how many of these guys are out there that never get caught, because it seems damn near impossible not to once you're on a phone or computer

Family works in law enforcement and tells me it’s multiple complaints daily. Sex predators all around us.

How were they able to stop running speed traps and fouling up traffic in school zones long enough to do actual police work?

I read the whole OP but am still unsure what these folks did.

It must be something bad to bring so many agencies in on it.

It’s multi agency due to the jurisdiction and nature of the crime. The complaint may have originated in St. Tammany, but LSP and FBI are involved due to it being computers and possibly spanning multiple jurisdictions/states.

Why do these dumbasses think they can get away with this deviancy? You hear about stings online all the time and yet these idiots still try like they are gonna slip through the cracks somehow

They're effed up people, and they can't be cured.

I went to an FBI seminar and the agents demonstrated how they could easily go in the chat rooms and find them quickly.

The perps absolutely knew the agents did this, but couldn't not take bait.

It's one reason why you always see it portrayed in movies and TV shows that the most dangerous things in scenarios like war-torn places or a post-apocalyptic world are other humans. Because left to our own devices, we (as a species) devolve into some bad shite.

You watch a documentary on TV about pedophiles in Hollywood and think "Well, that's Hollywood for you..." all the while there are tons of predators in your own neighborhood and all around you. I went to the registered sex offender website one time and was astonished at how many were in relatively close proximity to my house/area. And those are just the ones that have been caught and prosecuted, which is likely only a fraction of the ones actually out there. It's pretty wild to think about.

An acquaintance of mine who does analyst stuff for law enforcement was telling me that child exploitation is on the uptick as inflation rises and other black market opportunities wane.

It seems a lot of parents/guardians supplement income for drug money and expenses with this. Thats something I just cant fathom.

This is why, when identified, they should all be put down in a particularly unpleasant manner.
