Three 13's or four 10's for the average working man.

If we are to keep a 40 day work week,
Would this not lead to a better quality of life? Why do we need to spend more days around our coworkers than we do around our families?
5 and 2 is a ridiculous way to spend life.

I couldn't do 10s. I work 9/80s. And that nine plus an hour for lunch kills me. But I also have an hour commute each way. So it's basically a 12 hour day

I would do the 4 10's. That way I don't have too much free time to spend too much money.

Couldn't agree more.

I'd give a nut to work four 10s. I agree OP, 5/2 is horse shite. I'd prefer 4/3.

4 10's would be better. A 13 hour day would be downright brutal.

I wouldn't work 13 hrs straight. 10 would be pushing it

Yeah a 13 hour day would be stupid for a civilian job. 4 10s though is a great option for those of us who work to live or have a life outside of our jobs.

My brother works 4 10s for the state, he doesn't work Saturday-Monday. If the state has a holiday on a Monday (Labor Day, MLK, Memorial day...) he doesn't have to work on Tuesday. Nearly every month he has a three day work week.

Give me 2 20's and then a 12 on Thursday

A 13 hour day would be great for any dedicated employee that was up for it. It may not be for everyone, but it would be a great option.

makes too much sense
If enough people could do it think of the traffic it would free up.

I hope to God I never in my life go back to a 5/2 work schedule.

What are you working? Or are you retired?

Currently working 4/10's, while in training. I usually work shift work, and like it. A 5/2 schedule is a steaming pile of cow dung.

I agree. And I work for CPAs who think you should work every single day.
Life wasn't meant for that.
