In fairness, people with your world view have a pathetic track record of ruining nearly everything they touch. So you'll have to forgive that poster for not wanting to hand the keys to our life saving healthcare system over to a bunch of politicians and social activists.

The reality is that what Democrats have enabled over the last year have made single payer an even more difficult ask

These are the same CRT-pushing authoritarians that want to teach white kids that they are born racist and hateful. That's how they are "fixing" a failed public education system that they've controlled for 50 years. There's no fricking way they can be trusted to manage an entire heath care industry. Medical science and innovation doesn't just bend or twist with the political winds. It shouldn't be forced to.
It's bad enough that these people run public schools. I will never willingly them more control over heath care.

They've spent the last 8 months talking about how we have to factor in equity to vaccines and focus on marginalized communities
Anyone signing up for state-run healthcare who isn't in one of those communities is a complete moron. You're basically asking to have your family's welfare put at the back of the line.

These people have weaponized the IRS, the intelligence agencies, the ATF, and every other federal law enforcement agency to punish their dissenters. Weaponizing a public helathcare agency to deny people treatment for wrongthink is right in their wheelhouse.

I will say one thing, Obamacare and the Healthcare Marketplace is the main driver in the large corporation my Pops worked for and retired from getting out of the retiree insurance business. They rolled all retirees into the healthcare marketplace and gave them a small credit to offset the difference in cost.
Within just the three years between my Pops retiring, losing the company insurance, going into the healthcare marketplace, and reaching Medicare age, his and my Mom's insurance increased from an all-inclusive plan that was just under $500/month to a much shitter plan that was just under $1,800/month. It continued to rise after he reached Medicare age and for 3 1/2 more years my Mom paid close to $1,200/month for her own plan.
Pops drew too much in retirement to qualify for any government assistance, and mind you, they aren't wealthy people. They are middle class. If they had happened to still owe a house note and car notes, Pops would have had to pick up a retirement job just to stay afloat.

It wouldn't be so scary if these Democrats hadn't turned into full on authoritarians. That's what's horrifying. They are no longer liberal. They are totalitarians at heart and want to crush any dissent.
