Nothing wrong with the area other than the usual bad roads and small lots.
Pretty much. Lots of young adults/families, and then your old people too. Very safe, not very hood at all.

I refuse to consider Orleans based on a few things but infrastructure is on top the list.. it's 2016 and you have to boil your water 5 times a year... you have roads that are impossible to drive on (Fleur Dis Lis is an excellent example). its really pathetic. And don't even get me started on the cultcha
I suspect, we really do not want you here....

This area off Fleur de Lis has historically been known as West End--hence the name of the long and wide road that borders its east side...
Lakeview begins on the east side of West End Blvd.
I believe "West Lakeview" came about as an attempt by the folks in "West End" to attach their properties to the more valuable ones in Lakeview just on the other side.

Laugh all you want, then go look at median income, taxes, and crime maps.
By the end of 2018 there will be two brand new schools and a completely remodeled city park, surrounded by 300-700k houses.

Dude. Kenner still sucks.
You still have to make groceries with the trash and you lack good restaurants.
It's not worth adding an extra 20 minutes to your commute to be in a small whites only area.

The developments planned for chateau and W Esplanade, and the additions to lake town will remedy the restaurant issue. The mall renovation will assist with that as well, but those will be chains.
By 2020, the esplanade corridor and lake town will be unrecognizable.

I could buy a 700k house on the West Bank, doesn't mean I want to live there, because it's a still the west bank.
You can put lipstick on a pig, but at the end of the day it's still kenner brah

why not live in Metairie? Same house, a lot cheaper and less the BS. You don't want to get tied down with a 30 year mortgage in Lakeview.
Buy uptown or mid city if you want the charm.

Yeah, having 0 crime, low taxes, band new schools, a golf course, and economic development sucks.
I remember when I thought like you. Then I sold my house in the Irish Channel, and my family can't thank me enough.

I looked at a few there. Houses are on top of each other. Anything between Harrison and rob e lee, the streets were too terrible for me to seriously consider.
Lakeview is only worth the price if you can walk to Harrison IMO
