What is better between quartz and automatic?

depends....

quartz is more accurate, but powered by a battery, so eventually you'll have to change that battery when it dies...

and automatic, typically self winds with a counterweight that rotates and winds the watch while you wear it, so it's constantly being wound, if you wear it.... it doesn't require a battery, so it never really "dies"... if you stop wearing it, it will "die", but as soon as you start moving the watch again, it starts back up....

personally, after getting into automatics, i'd never go back to battery powered watches.. automatics are just too convienient, IMO

Received one as a gift. It eventually stopped working. Replaced the battery with a new one and didn't help. Sent it back to Tissot to get it repaired. Since getting it back, it was been working fine.

Tissot is respectable. Get it from Jomashop or online, way better price.
Also, while you're at jomashop, check out Mido. The Ocean star is a nice entry level and quality watch.

As far as accuracy goes, quartz is way more accurate. Automatic is purely mechanical but has way more parts and more expensive (generally speaking). Automatic is more sought after by enthusiasts due to the mechanical aspect.

That white dial two tone is pretty damn sexy.
