We get it. You hate luxury watches and people who like them.

I paid $2790 for it 20 years before I could even verify (kinda) that they came out of the factory like that and they are still somewhat of a mystery. Back in those days, Rolex kept very poor records and none of them known to exist have verifiable provenance. I used to collect manual wind Daytonas exclusively (when they were cheap) so I tended to buy every variation I came across. Back before the internet, it was hard to decipher all the ins and outs of vintage Rolexes. The intended and unintended variations are numerous.

Love this Grand Seiko diver.

Felt a little light when I held it.

Was in Japan couldn't get it on my fat wrist

When I wear a watch, which is rare these days, I roll with my Deep Blue Juggernaut..

The majority of GS divers are titanium though I think the one in the OP is SS as I think the Ti one that looks nearly identical has a gold GS on the dial. For some the weight is a pro and for some it is a con. I am generally ambivalent about weight I have a couple of watches around 60 grams and one over 270 grams.

Coach K is partial to the two-tone Sub with a (kinda Duke) blue dial.
