There’s an increasing likelihood I have to move back to Louisiana. I haven’t been in that area in a decade (St. Tammany). How are the schools and the area in general? I’m honing in on moving here, but open to suggestions. I pushed for Bawcomville, but that’s a no go.

you’ll spend half your waking hours in soul sucking mind numbing traffic. If you can find a place to live that’s worth all that, it’s still a nice place to be

Sorry, I detoured bf reading. Anyways, traffic traffic traffic. But they got more roads too. But still it’s the better place to live.

We don’t sell Mandeville to you.
You sell yourself to Mandeville.

20 years ago I would have said Mandeville. And we did for a while. But now, we are planning on BSL after the boys are out of school.

The whole traffic thing is WAY overblown. I’ve been here almost 10 years and rarely encounter what I would call bad traffic. Travel to/from Mandeville and Covington or Mandeville to/from Madisonville at peak times? Yes, that can be tough traffic. In Mandeville itself, we encounter little problems most of the time. Great place to live, especially in old Mandeville.

I lived in Slidell for 47 years. Moved to Mandeville two years ago. Traffic in Mandeville is no worse than Slidell.

Like you say, Traffic can be bad but mostly very predictable. Hwy 22 west to Madisonville rush hour - Yes. Same 190 North. Other is hit miss.

Carriere, Mississippi....you get more bang for the buck there. Big lots and big houses for less money. It's short drive to New Orleans area.
