No shite, what'd you get?

Our T5 Inscription is on its way from the port now...hopefully.

Electric Silver
Blonde interior
Tow package
Roof bars
Bumper protector

I didn't get her all of the wizbangery...she's coming from a manual 5 series with almost no tech.

We bought the wife a new pilot and it's very practical. Not exciting, not great in any area, but very dependable and will last a long time (hopefully). She is getting about 20 mpg and it rides fine. We never use the 3rd row seat, which she 'had' to have, but I have no complaints about it.

Pilot looks, drives, and feels like a minivan.

If you are okay with that, it's a good vehicle.

Do want to add, the Touring Package is worth it if you have young kids.

Nice vehicle. Also check out the Toyota Sienna or Chrysler Pacifica.

Had s 2010 Highlander that's now gone. Plenty of problems. Including the whole interior about fell apart. The AC gave us problems too. Never again.

I hope you realize that Honda and Toyota are STILL installing Takata airbags with ammonia nitrate as a propellant? They just install a desiccants like those little bags in your aspirins. Just delayed the problem from moisture a couple of years. Very dangerous.

I test drove a Highlander limited, pilot, Acadia Denali, and qx60. For my money, comfort, and drive, I went with the Highlander. It drove better than the Pilot, which is very floaty. It had better features than the Acadia and the QX 60 at the price point I wanted. You might be able to get a decent deal on the Acadia in the next year or so, but they recently completely overhauled it and the one you will want is the new design, so they aren't going to be making deals on that for a while. At least not while old stock sits.

But I love my Highlander. I think it's my favorite car I've owned. Sold my wife's GLK350 because it was too small and kept my G37. I like driving my G37 better, but my wife has it now. But for everything other than the drive experience, I prefer the Highlander.

I had a Pilot and an Enclave in the last 12 years. Had zero trouble with them. If I were in the market again I'd probably go with the Enclave. It was a nicer ride all around.

I like the Traverse, Enclave

You won't after owning one of these dogs. Same platform...same junker. Google "Enclave Forum" and read up. Stay away from the Acadia, too...same vehicle.

Highlander is on a Camry chassis. Pilot on an Accord chassis.

About the same. Honda's usually comes with a set package of equipment. You pick the level you want.

Toyota will allow you to mix and match more.

Drove my Pilot for 11 years and about 234k miles, and the only repair work beyond regular maintenance is I had to replace the AC compressor about 7 years in. Very dependable, solid, good gas mileage, durable.

m too tall to ride in a Highlander with a car seat behind me. They have no leg room

Absolutely erroneous. The new ones have a middle row that slides backwards and forwards. I am 6'2" with twins. My kids ride in klek foonfs. They are the biggest fricking things on the market. I have room to drive. Unless you gangsta lean, you need to recheck the Highlander.

Put it this way, I have more room in it to drive than my father in law's Tahoe because its middle row is fixed.
