Don't know much about the 2007 model.

I have been in some of the newer ones. They are the ultimate soccer mom vehicle.

I bought my wife a new one instead of an Odyssey. She said it wasn't a mini van. This pisses me off because it looks almost exactly like a mini van except you squash the bottom of it up to lose a lot of room that you could of had in a regular mini van. They look very close to the same vehicle, but because they don't call it a mini van, the stupid arse pilot is ok with her. Yeah, I'm still mad.

I think that's a great car, and sounds like a pretty solid deal for a car you could get 200k more miles out of imo. dono why someone would think honda interior doesn't hold up. they hold up better than toyota in my experience.

Test drive and listen for clunking from the front end. Common problem that no one seems to know how to fix properly.

I have a 2006 with over 300k miles. Very dependable. Biggest drawback is noise level on the highway. I couldn't have gotten a better ROI.

Honda was good until they installed airbags that kill people. The 2007 Pilot is included in those recalls. I would ask the owner if he had all the front airbags replaced due to the recall. If not, offer him a lower price and get them fixed for free at the dealership.

Recalls

I don't trust them any more and their customer service for recalls is shite.

Seems like they found a problem and moved quickly to fix it. They called my house every week for a month until I finally went in and had the air bags replaced.

Coworker has a 07 Pilot. She had to replace an alternator which is par for the course with older Hondas. Simple fix

I had an accord that I dorve for 215k and never had a problem even with the alternator. Now people saying they never had a problem with a Pilot are fortunate. Just got rid of an '08 with 100k miles on it. I've never been so disappointed with it. Had too many problems for a Honda under 100k. Maybe I got the one lemon but still disappointing.

It took them over a month for them to have the parts to fix my car, and American Honda refused to provide a rental car during that time, which left us without a second car. I had to rent a car for a long trip because the Honda was our big car. They reimbursed me, but it took them 6 months, and they would have likely never done it if I hadn't gotten on their arse each month about approving a simple reimbursement request.

You likely had yours replaced when they finally had the parts in to fix most vehicles. The problem was identified in May '16 I think, but parts didn't come to most dealerships until July-August.

That was the best looking bodystyle for the Pilot IMO.
