If it just goes into their pool of money, how the frick do you know what they’re spending it on, and why the frick do you care?

Tell us what you spent it on.

I donated it to Planned Parenthood.

I just almost fell out of my chair...I was opening our mail and opened an envelope from the US Treasury and what do you know...a check for $333
What do the base these payments off of?

That’s a fantastic plan. What a great way to ensure these leaches don’t get anymore advances of my money based on how many times they opened their legs.

I have no idea how they arrived at the numbers they did, but publicly they’ve said it’s based on your household income, age of children, and how many you have.

How did you conclude this?
This is far from the truth.

Well our household income is plenty enough and our kids are 14 and 17....$333 is nice but like those EBT Cards they sent us a couple weeks ago...we will just donate the money to a charity.

You may actually be in that group that wasn’t supposed to qualify, but got checks anyway
Congratulations baw. Don’t spend it all in one place

Fkn dumbass wasteful government spending.
Funny think is, is that they have to be looking at my 2019 taxes I assume because we haven’t filed our 2020 taxes yet.

Might just give it to my daughter since she’s going to Disney World at the end of the month

Using the child tax credit check on things like getting their hair and nails done, new cell phone, new fake lashes, do they feel guilty not spending it on their kids?

The benefit is that they will have access to this money early but the problem is could create a deficit when they file their taxes at the end of the year.
Do you understand what a tax credit is?
It's not suddenly counted as income. In fact, another change neglected to be mentioned is that the credit is now fully refundable.
In order to create a deficit, your income would have to increase past the thresholds or your kid didn't live with you half the year or you lived outside the states half the year

I'm sure I'll spend it on other things (not the things OP listed, which was obviously a very targeted list
), because I don't need it to care for my kids.
Honestly the income limits (200k/400k) are probably too high if the goal was to subsidize kids living in substandard conditions.

Just curious. What did you spend your stimulus on?
I'm against any stimulus but find it odd when people anonymously complain about what they think others spent their's on.
Free money given to anyone is not free. We all need to pay it back.

Absolutely.
I didn't need it or want it. It just came. Now my choice is to spend it or send a donation back to the government. I will still have to pay taxes on it and for all the others. Our personal debt is out of control.
