Those of you who’ve had Covid

Or know someone who has. Were you or your friends/family who have it “careful” before you got it or pretty laid back? No agenda at all, just curious how many got it even being hyper-careful.
Also, have folks acted different towards you since getting it?
I’ve always felt I’d have some of my paranoid friends/fam “disappointed” in me if I got it just bc I go out and try to support restaurants/bowling alleys/mini golf places w my kids (while following all the mask/distancing requests)

one of my friends got it. a loss of smell and sinus pain for a few days. then recoverd. he's a millennial. ppl avoided him for weeks until he got the antibody test back that said he was good lol

My great Aunt had it
She was very careful since she is in a nursing home
Once they started mandatory testing she tested positive, no symptoms at all & is doing fine
Of the 5 people that I know of that had it 4 were in nursing homes
No one in my immediate family / friends has had it

I had it and just returned to work on Monday. It felt like I had the Flu for about five days followed by a loss of taste and smell and fatigue. Since I have returned to work I fell like people are avoiding me like the plague even though I have been cleared to return. I am an essential employee that worked in my office everyday during the shut down. I did not and still would not wear a mask unless it is mandatory. My wife and son went to the gym every day once it opened back up. Not saying that is where I caught it because they did not test positive.

Absolutely! They acted like if they come around me that they'll get sick even though I only had symptoms for 3 days and continued to test positive.

I wasn’t careful before, but I quarantined well during and after.

I have several close friends and family that had it....
Oddly, the 2 men had a rough go with 10-14 days of major body pain, nausea, diarrhea, and fever, yet the women had only a brief sinus like sickness for 2-3 days. I do not know if this is a common occurrence, but thought I would mention it.
All recovered fine, ages 28-62.

This matches what happened in our house. I had fever, back aches, coughing, and unbelievable fatigue for 15 days. My wife had a sinus headache and lost of taste/smell for about a week (no fever, other symptoms, etc.).

I thought I was being quite careful. Was still getting take out after restaurants reopened. Only went to the grocery store and Lowe’s.
But I got desperate for a haircut and that’s where I’m pretty certain I got it.

I wasn't careful at all. Caught it during spring time relatively early during the pandemic. My daughter had just flew in from Washington state and she told me they were sick and I still foolishly went to see her and my granddaughter. Spent over a week in the hospital. I find myself being careless now but only because I know reinfection is very unlikely this soon after having it. I wear a mask in public but only because the governor forces me to.

I caught it in the beginning. Moderate case...my sense of smell and cardio still have not returned 100%. To answer your question. I was living normal...based on when my symptoms flailed up I became infected the week before we went on quarantine. My wife and daughter caught it from me and had mild cases. We didn’t tell our extended families just our parents.
