I know every generation grows up and thinks the decade they grew up in was the best, but the 80s & 90s were something special.
I was born in 78 so I don't remember too much from the early 80s, but I couldn't imagine growing up in a world where you didn't have cartoons like GI Joe & He man.. And the girls had whatever cartoons they watched. There was none of this "gender neutral" bullshite.
In the 80s, when a movie was rated R.. You knew it would be really violent or boobs would be shown.
The 80s brought us Eddie Murphy Delirious. Could you imagine if he did a standup show like that today? Do imitations of people, if they were gay...I was probably 9-10 yrs old when I first saw it... laughing my arse off.. Today, if you let your kids watch something like that they would probably be considered a bad parent.
Then you had the Beastie Boys. Run DMC, 2 Live Crew... Some Stevie B.. Motley Crue... LL Cool J, Poison.. I could go on..

Buwahaha, i noticed a vehicle, that was the sheyat for 16-20 year olds in the 80's.
One of these, if you had, you drove, carried 4-6 in the car every weekend and partied it up:
Grand prix
Regal
Cutlas
Monte Carlo
And if some ones parents had cash, they got a Grand National.

Ehh. I look at it a little differently. I was in college ‘86-‘90.
Probably one of the most repressed periods in history.
What a load of absolute horse shite

You’re an idiot if you really think streaming step siblings banging is a serious counter argument..... I am sure the 80’s were great. The 90’s were great for me...... I think most people’s childhood decade is “the greatest” because we were kids and had zero responsibility.

I’d watch those squiggly lines for 30 minutes or more on Cablevision channel 19 in hopes of maybe seeing a boob. The struggle was real.

Wanking it to the Sears catalog made the strive to see actual boobs that much more urgent

I'm grateful that I didn't have to come of age today.

Or trying to watch it as it was scrambled, and every 30 seconds or so, you would get 3-5 seconds of the movie and a possible tit shot. then watch scrambled mess searching for the 5 second boob shot.
Or, if you only watched 59second or less of movie, you didnt get charged. So trying to remember how many seconds you had watched of the pron flick so parents didnt get charges.

I will admit the only weak point for the 80s was vehicles. What GM did to the Camaro, Firebird, and even the ‘Vette was borderline criminal. Same thing with Ford and the Mustang, which. To be fair Ford really screwed up the Mustang in the early 70s.

Excellent point.
The 80s saw the rise to some great offerings from Japanese companies likes the Rx-7, Starion, 280SX, MR2 and Celica.

My favorite shows as a kid.

many of you might remember that Benny Hill would have titty shots, same with the show Bizarre, where Super Dave osbourne started.
It came on KPLR here, and would be shown at 11pm. Full boobies on local broadcast tv.
Sadly that was the porn of the 80's. Which made it even greater.

I think you’ve got a point here. The other day I was driving down University Blvd. in B’ham right though the heart of UAB. I noticed literally every college kid I saw on the sidewalk was walking along with their face glued to their phone screen. It was a perfect fall day and literally none of them were aware of the world around them outside of whatever was on their phone. I honestly pitied them.
