I will admit the only weak point for the 80s was vehicles. What GM did to the Camaro, Firebird, and even the ‘Vette was borderline criminal. Same thing with Ford and the Mustang, which. To be fair Ford really screwed up the Mustang in the early 70s.
Yeah, most of the vehicles sucked, no disputing that.

My 79 grand prix, i hit all kinds of shite while driving, and only thing ever damaged was the rubber off the bumper, that heavy arse steel bumper wasn't going any where.

This is actually the first wall of text you have posted on this site that I absolutely agree with.
Eta: the caddy that zigs changed Cadillac from your grandmother's car to start in the direction of the Cadillac's of today.
And BMW and Mercedes started making the small coupes that became affordable for everyone.
**there was also the flip and die samurai on the other side

The Music of Late 80's to Early 90's will never be duplicated.
Every genre was nailz.
Country
Alternative
Rock
Pop
R&B
Rap
Slow jams
All deep and stacked with talent. No matter what genre you liked, if some one put on another genre, it was good, so it didnt matter, where as today, it's garbage pop shite. Music is so bad that you have no r&b, rap is crap, and only singers with soul are white and hispanic.
Country is pop music with violins and a steel guitar.
Alternative is so bad, that they have bluegrass music as part of it. meh!

It’s hard to explain but yeah things just seemed so much better despite technological “hardships” compared to now.

I’d watch those squiggly lines for 30 minutes or more on Cablevision channel 19 in hopes of maybe seeing a boob. The struggle was real.

We didn't get cable until the late 80s but you could flip to the Spice channel and get 70% audio and 5% video quality sometimes

The pinnacle of music. Country was still country and rock was still rock. + new wave and rap.
Maybe not the pinnacle of Hollywood but it holds its own... especially in action movies.
Fashion not so much but it killed the 70s at least.
No internet or cell phone addiction.
No endless wars other than the cold variety.
Miami vs Florida State was always epic.
But best of all we lived for the moment with the thought we could be vaporized by the commies any second.

Young me beat off to pics of Mary Lou Retton so frequently I still can’t see a photo of her without being aroused and ashamed
