Those of you who are currently with Sprint in the BR area, how do you like it?

Looking to switch from AT&T and am exploring all options...obviously Verizon is great for coverage but am looking for opinions on Sprint.

Verizon for the past (passed OweO?) six years.

Don't regret it.

Everyone I have talked to who has Sprint or T-Mobile hates it. But, I hear Sprint is significantly cheaper.

I've been with Sprint (in BR area) for almost 10 years.

Sprint has long earned a bad reputation and for most part, it has been deserved.

Today, the voice coverage is fine. I rarely have any issues (even outside of BR). The data coverage is adequate. A Sprint customer still can't use voice and data at the same time, unless on WiFi. This may or may not be a big deal to you.

When you are in a good data area, the speeds are so-so. Verizon and AT&T are far superior. I'm interested in the T-Mobile acquisition / merger. I've entertained the idea of switching over to T-Mobile (data speeds are really fast), but they still do not have coverage in the area where I live - possibly looking to switch because of the voice/data issue with Sprint ... but I don't want to go with Verizon and I absolutely despise of AT&T.

YMMV.

Yeah, I'm wanting to break free of all things ATT which means dropping cell and directv.

Sprint is awful. No data with iPhone 7 in Costco, George's Southside, and many other places. I was so glad when my free year expired. I have Mint Mobile now, and for $240, I get 12 mos with 8 GB/mo (recently increased from 5 for free) and no data problems. Mint uses T Mobile.

Sprint is definitely the cheapest option, but it sucked in BR when I lived there. Not bad around campus, but that's about it

I used to be a long-time customer of DirecTV, years before AT&T acquired them. I didn't think I could have a worst customer service experience.

I was wrong. I went with AT&T for 5 weeks (switched away from Sprint) and the level of incompetency along with no accountability or resolution to completion at AT&T is horrendous and dare I say, far worse than my DirecTV experience. However, since DirecTV is now owned by AT&T, I can't imagine any improvement here and I will stay with DISH Network (rarely a reason to ever call in).

I had sprint for years and the only issue I had was coverage in rural areas. I’ve since switched to Verizon and don’t have this issue anymore.

Paying the few extra bucks for Verizon is well worth it if you’re on the road a lot.

I have no issues.

It's cheap. I usually have service when Verizon and at&t Fritz out downtown.

It only fritzes out when downtown has a big electrical storm.

That said I also go into a store and act like this guy when I buy a phone.

Because I just need a phone and texting.

So if you're doing everything from your phone. Might look elsewhere.
