Of course it's stupid as hell. Go and look at popular movies from 50-60 years ago, when men were men. None of this crap was going on. Men were strong masculine figures, now they're laughed at as "stupid dad" on sitcoms. It's a huge culture change in general.

I don't have a problem with it considering most communication in that age group is done by text. My daughter went to prom and homecoming all four years. Four of those were with her boyfriend, the other four with dates, all of whom asked her via text or Facebook message.

My son had to do all this crap a few years ago and he probably hated it. But he had some of the hottest dates at his school so I guess it was worth it
