I am not convinced that a people who don’t respect their elderly actually deserve to exist.

If you cannot have compassion for the elderly, instead of blatant contention for them, I’m not too sure you’re worth saving yourself, nor am I convinced that you being the future is in the best interest of the country, the planet, or the future of either thereof.

One thing that I have ALWAYS respected about the Japanese for example is how they treat their elderly, with honor and respect. It’s in my estimation the mark of a very admirable and mature culture that has their priorities in order. When I reflect on the younger generations in this country and many of their attitudes toward their elderly, it is really sickening to be honest with you. I find nothing admirable in it, nothing whatsoever. Its revolting, and to me says that we have raised an extremely nasty, spoiled rotten, self serving bunch of garbage that should never be trusted with anything.

If you can’t take care of those who can’t take care of themselves, exactly how much worse will you be in taking care of anyone else, besides themselves of course? It’s revolting, and I really don’t give a shite who that offends.

Just like historic reactions....was the 20 year war against Iraq and Afghanistan, all the TSA checks, 3oz liquids, Shoes off, Guantanamo, waterboarding, and everything else....great policy changes & money well spent?

Basically a 12-15 trillion dollar Y2K.

Just the opposite. This gives younger people an opportunity to enter the market.

Course, you realize if they die and the house gets sold at auction, the basement (where you live) goes too?

Most of the boomers I’ve spoken to think this a huge overreaction and are freaking out about their investments — which seems fair given that they probably have a lot less time to recover financially than young adults do.

Have another downvote. Either you’ve figured out a way to monetize them and are using that to recoup your personal losses or you’re being a narrow-minded, short-sighted tool about this situation, so it’s well earned.
