My son has drawn something like that once with crayons on colored paper.

Had no idea he could have made millions with it

I always love these threads.

Just because you don't appreciate or understand it doesn't mean it has no value.

Certain artists get notoriety for a reason...no one was doing what they did and it started many copycats. It commented on the times, starting new techniques, etc etc.

I don't get Rothko, but once I saw one in person I had a somewhat different perspective on it than just print. I still don't fully understand the point, but I don't have so much hubris to think my opinion matters too much.
