And you don't think those experiences could blind you from looking at things from a different perspective?

How would you even know, your neither a cop, nor a black person.

Your just some white dude that posts bigoted crap on a predominantly white forum that is dedicated to a sports team that is filled with mostly black players.

Standard answer of those with small world views.

Stop being so fearful. There aren't boogeymen out to get you.

Ok, got it, 1 "city". This backs your point that all white people are racist and ultimately want to oppress black people. Thanks for the history lesson.

Well good luck getting changes in police procedure or judicial sentencing based on the way you feel you've been treated. Just do the rest of us a favor, when you see people taking about actual issues, try not to derail the discussion with childish pleas about your misfortune.

Some more than others, correct?

That crime usually leads to people not volunteering information to the police
Some races more than others, no? Same for everyone? That mafia population is THAT big?

quote:

People do not cooperate with the police becasuse they do not want to get other blacks, whites or etc in trouble. They don't cooperate because they fear retaliation.
Many people cooperate with the police.

So when black people in the inner city don't talk to the police for fear of retaliation, retaliation from who? The same people committing an unspeakable number of the murders in this country, is that who you're referencing?

White people do

NOPD shot like 300 rounds in the city and there were like two phone calls. Do you think that would happen in Mandeville?

When you have never committed a crime and have cops telling you time and time again your being questioned for "looking suspicious" on LSU campus, then you can come tell me something.

But until then, keep on posting your ignorance that was passed down to you on a online forum.

But thats just the thing. It isn't just one city. But I doubt it would change your thought process anyways.

And if it was just "one city" it would still be just as wrong.

No you are fricking retarded.

quote:

Are you trying to compare la cosa nostra violence to black inner-city violence? 1) Blacks kill more blacks in one year than the mob did since it arrived from the old country. 2) when this kind of stuff was actually happening, Italians weren't considered white.

I just don't even want to address this. The comparison had very little to do with the mob and more to do with demographics of the neighborhood during a certain era.

Do you actually think blacks talk to police anywhere near the same rate as whites?

What does it matter what I think show me some statistics and I will form my conclusion from there.

I completely understand that mentality and can't necessarily fault people for that, but you can't turn around and blame cops, or whites, or systemic racism, etc for crime when the community won't help them address the problem.

It makes me think less of black Americans in general that y'all have lived and seen what you've lived and seen and the only answer you can put forward is to blame white people.

Why haven't y'all fixed anything in your own communities?

Other supposedly marginalized groups have dealt with oppression, figured their own problems out, and found a way to generally succeed.
Why can't y'all?

You won't admit it but you know that question vexes you.

Take that up with your "brothers." They're the people putting you in that situation, not cops.

Are the cops supposed to not stop someone who fits the description because they might hurt an innocent person's precious little feelings?

Who said anything about blaming white people.
You want blacks to own up to things, but whites can't? Gotcha

So, because of that experience you had, white people aren't allowed to talk about race or crime statistics involving race?

So its my "brothers" fault that cops are detaining someone based off their ignorant views that you seem to share. Gotcha.

Were you illegally imprisoned? Or did he ask you a few questions then let you go?
