Why don't you trade spots with them? Or better yet, quit your job, I bet you could get you an EBT and you can spend them on redbull too!!!!

Tell that to the people barely getting by but cant get any help, or the future people that will legit need help but the money will be gone or how about you tell us how much you paid in taxes the last few years. Yes is does matter how much someone pays in taxes to me when it comes to discussing where that money goes.

Now who is being the drama queen? I think your generosity is commendable. But that is a true act of charity. Not confiscation of money for redistribution to others. Lower my taxes and I'll be one of the most philanthropic people you ever meet.

Dude. Some of those apartments off Gardere are pretty sweet. Spend big dollars at the Dollar General and Rainbow Mart. Put the kids on a bus for 3 hours a day to get a shite education across town? Who wouldn't be jealous?

The current system of welfare does a disservice to poor people

It must be pretty good cause there's s shite ton of them doing it and few if any seem to want to change. But keep feeling the Bern. I'm sure your student loan will be forgiven.

yeah, say you are a broke arse and have 3 kids, you might get around $600 in food stamps!!! Dude they are killing it at life

People like you make me sick. They are getting 600 more than they worked for each month. This country needs to stop giving poor people money bc most of them have no idea how to budget. Start giving specific food vouchers that will provide nutrition instead of freezers full of microwave pizzas, energy drinks and other trash food.

You know it's not good. You know would fricking die if your daughter ended up in that situation. You are confusing hopelessness with complacency.

All we are doing with making poverty luxurious is encouraging and subsidizing the breeding of people who in days gone by would have either been culled from the gene pool or become productive citizens.

This guy gets it.

I'd say they tend to go hand in hand. As an adult these aren't viable excuses though.

Artie I hate to tell you but lowering taxes does lead to higher charitable giving.
And I'm pretty philanthropic right now. I'd be a lot more giving if the govt would quit shaking me down every pay period.

You're the uneducated 2 time felon, right? No wonder you don't understand. To answer your question, no, I'd never want to trade places with them. That's why I've worked my entire life. My problem is, a portion of my honestly earned money goes to them instead of me and my family. Are you stupid?

Govt assistance should only be for staples, not luxury items or certainly energy drinks.

I make you sick, although I completely agree with you

I just feel that many times people's anger is misguided when it should be at the politicians or at the people that bitch about the lack of limits on EBT but I bet the barn they haven't once called their rep voicing their concern of going to vouchers..... But I MAKE YOU SICK

Brother, don't confuse my stance. As I drive through the ghetto everyday it aggravates me to see abled-bodied young men sitting on the stoop. But the entire system is fricked. Top to bottom. I see abuse of that system and failures of the system everyday. But I'm willing to pay in to that fricked system if it means kids aren't going to starve because their parents suck arse.
