There's a 30 minute video included in the article of some of what's in there

This huge collection has devolved into a quasi-barn find state, although to be fair, it wasn't really abandoned like a true barn find. Its owner just kept the collection secret for many years, storing hundreds of cars away without driving them very much.

Yet you'll find just about everything in here. A bone-stock 1974 Hurst Oldsmobile sits next to a Matra Djet V. The owner apparently had a "Rolls-Royce phase." A Bimota that was ridden only once before getting packed away. The requisite '55 Chevrolet restomod. A modified widebody Mercedes complete with wild ‘80s-appropriate side strakes. A prop-car believed to be from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Ex-SEMA show cars. Race cars—some raced by the collection's owner. A shortened two-door Cadillac Seville. A Packard flower car that would have been used in funeral processions.

Watched ammo's tour through a couple of the buildings. Couldn't imagine having all those cars and never touching them. What's the point

Henry Shane has a very nice car collection in Metry.

More and more, I think these "barn finds" are formerly stolen cars or something else really sketchy. I just find it really hard to believe that this many old cars are laying around in barns all over the place.

Who is the owner of all of these cars?

This country is huge- much bigger than we can really comprehend. How many buildings have you actually gone in on your daily commute vs what you pass? Multiply that millions of times over, and that’s how this happens.
I know of (have been inside it) a vacant grocery store in Lake Placid, FL that has 15-20 semi rare, at least desirable cars from the muscle era that maybe only 10 people know about.
I have a few stashed in buildings I own- if I get hit by a bus, they will sit there until someone “barn finds” them.
ETA- you truly have to be a real car guy to fully comprehend how it happens- you see a deal on Craigslist, very undervalued, you snatch it up. Put it away- maybe you work on it, maybe you don’t. I look at it as a savings account I can see- I haven’t lost money on one yet- and I have beat the market every time.

Was not expecting that video to make me as uncomfortable as it did. Seeing all those priceless cars under that much dust felt very wrong. Had to watch a video of the guy detailing one after to calm down. Amazing collection, must've been nice to start at 18 lol.
