Same here but at the plant. Won’t leave till Thursday at 5. Ready to head home.

Next weeks check will be nice though. Sucks now, but when those funds hit, I’ll be glad I did it.
Better adjust that W-4 or half will be deducted for Uncle Sam.

We worked 12 on 12 off and got paid for 24

I never worked at a hospital that did this. I assume that's some plant worker stuff.

So you've been there less than 36 hours. Suck it up, buttercup.

Christus is Oschner in LC and they aren’t paying the 16 for 12 from what they have told my wife.

Ochsner facility? I hear they are getting paid 16 hr for 12 hour shifts but that’s it. No sleep pay.
Ochsner is still doing this?! I’m surprised. Sounds like state law needs to be changed. If you’re an hourly employee, you should be free to leave as soon as you are stopped being paid.

A lot of hospital policies pay 24 hours less 8 hours sleep time. It ends up paying 16 hours per day if you are there 24 hours. I personally think that's fair and none of our people have ever had a problem with it.

Management at a hospital in Houston. Only got something after Harvey. Katrina and Harvey were not normal storms.

No. If I’m there for 24 against my will, I want to be paid for 24. Otherwise, a salary clipboard cowboy can come handle it.

The problem is they are telling the nursing staff they are free to go as they please knowing they can’t go anywhere because the roads are shut down.

As someone who spent 6+ months living at work i agree 100%. In the civilian workforce I'm not coming in or staying unless I'm being paid for every minute of my time.

Some people spend weeks stuck on a little platform out in the Gulf of America.

I’m a doctor and I agree with this.

I’m not on the lockdown team as I’m deemed non essential thank goodness.

If I was LOCKED in a shite hospital sleeping on a damn air mattress, showering in a call room, eating nasty cafeteria food and unable to leave

You better be paying me for every hour I am there.
