My husband traded in his 2013 Rubicon for a 2015 Hardrock edition Rubicon(long story there). He got it lifted, new big wheels/tires on it as well. Gotta admit....it looks pretty awesome and makes my Sahara look a lil on the wimpy side
They really do hold their resale value. His trade in value was only 4k less than what he paid for it over 2 years ago(he got it late 2012).

I have a 2007 Tacoma TRD and it still runs like it's brand new. I love it.
Same here and I just hit 60,000 miles. Other than maintence, the only issues have been the U-joints and the stupid spcaers on the leaf springs were squeaking.
Both were just noises, no breakdowns or anything.
My buddy with a same year King Ranch has put about $9k in repairs into that truck.
I don't even have $100 in parts in my repairs total. Coming from a Dodge Ram, this is a dream. My only regret is I got the access cab, not the crew.

Wranglers hold their value, and Grand Cherokees are respectable as far as value, but the crossovers have been horrible, and that Renegade is a FIAT. Fix it again Tony.

So he did end up trading up? I remember you saying that he was thinking about it or something a while back. How's that sub woofer in the rear floor? Does he miss the storage compartment or does the extra room make up for it?
Is he keeping the factory bumpers? I took the ends off the front bumper a week after I got it. It looks so much better IMO.
ETA: hop over to the OB and take a look at what I'm doing to my little girl's jeep.

Yup he did. Like I said he ended up getting 4k less than what he originally paid for the older jeep in trade in.

He really misses that "trunk" but has a bag he uses instead for now that he puts all his stuff in.

Yeah he already took the ends off right after that pic was taken and it looks much better imo as well. Notice the jeep logo...it's all black. He bought that online and switched it out from the original silver letters...i really like the look of it.
He still has the stock wheels and tires that came with hardrock package. I think we are gonna save them until I need new tires on my Sahara and then they are gonna go on mine. Just gotta see how much it would cost to get them put on(they have to take out the tire sensors out of my tires and place in those so you can't do at home).

I've never had issues with jeep, but i would hold out. Not sure what sort of problems might accur since it is a brand new model. I actually like the renegade, but I would still wait.

so be transferred the sensors in his wheels to his new wheels?

No transmission issues yet!
And honestly you really shouldn't, the best thing they did was but those 9 speed transmissions in the new models.

Well he got all the work done at a place here. They did all the work when he got the lift.
He wanted to switch wheels/tires out on his own but opted to go ahead and let them do it when he remembered about the sensors. He was kinda sad he couldn't do it on his own.

Yeah I am. The vents make it look mean. He also bought some clamp things for the hood as well. Supposed to stop the hood from fluttering while driving.
Looks kinda like this...

I love my Tacoma. The manual is really fun to pedal through in 4wd.
