Bad move. But not why you think.
Every vehicle I have driven since turning 16 has been a jeep. ALL Wranglers. Love jeeps. Easy to work on. Easy to alter if you want a different look after owning for a while.
But, have heard of several problems out of the 2015 models. Some have not been identified yet. Just problems in the motor.

Go get an older model. I have a 2013 wrangler. Zero problems.

I love my jeep but I don't use it as my everyday car

You'll regret not getting 4wd if you decide to buy one

You wouldn't be saying this if you would've just gone ahead and got the Tundra.

My jeep is an abomination. So many issues. Most I've ever driven it without it getting in the shop is like 5 months. Such a frickin money pit

But mine is a 96, so it's probably irrelevant to this discussion

Get a Wrangler.

The Renegade is effete.

I was looking at the renegade, but it was just a bit too small and only towed 2000 pounds. The removable roof panels had me wanting it though.

No one would argue otherwise.

Shame on Jeep for smearing the name of the old CJ-7 with that pos.

Oh, and I hated that the renegade came with that terrible red plastic throughout the interior. Dumb move by jeep as I wouldn't get that car in any other version.

I ended up with the Cherokee. No transmission issues yet!

It looks like the Compass, Part 2, and Part 1 was a tremendous piece of shite.

I haven't had a single problem with my 2013 Wrangler.

Agree. Renegades look like a fancy Kia Soul.

Cherokee

We have one at work. It drives comfortably, and handles well off-road. However, it is very low for a crossover, has a small backseat, and has an ugly front end.

The Renegade is the compass pt. 2(but a bit boxier like the patriot). They'll no longer be making the Patriot/Compass.

And I love my Cherokee. I find the styling bland outside of the front end, which I happen to like, but I prefer the boxier look of the Wrangler/Patriot. I still wish they'd make the Patriot as is, but a tad larger and more powerful.

Also on the height, mine stands tall, but I've got the 4x4 with Active Drive II, so that all adds height. I think it's either the same height as the Trailhawk version or an inch shorter.

And I second the wrangler comment. I would have gone that route if not for the gas mileage and my drive to work.
