I am in a pretty remote area and having a pilot license would serve me well. One of our pilots that relocated not long after I moved here recommended I look into King School online to take my ground school. With the quarantine I had some time to dig into it and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the training. I was hesitant to do this online but have to say I have been pretty impressed with it. Just thought I would pass this on in case anyone else was thinking about becoming a pilot and had some extra time during this lockdown. Kings School Ground School.

Some other pilots on here might have other recommendations or thoughts. Please share, I would like to hear them.

I meant to post this in the OT. If someone can move it that would probably be better. Thanks

You are going to have trouble to be 6 feet apart.

? It's all classwork you do online. This isn't flight school. It's where you learn weather, how to read charts, flight mechanics, etc. My understanding is you have to have passed ground school and had your physical exam before you can solo.

I learned to fly in the military so I am pretty clueless regarding civilian training practices.

I used King. It’s a good resource and makes the test easy, nows the perfect time since nothing else is going on

King is good and should have you more than prepared for a written. I used Sporty’s when working on my private and it was pretty solid too. I only used it for my private 10+ years ago. The rest I got from the Air Force.

I did Jeppesen for my private pilots license but have heard that they’re all essentially the same. I didn’t go past private so I don’t know how good they are for IFR, commercial, etc.
