That I would feel as young a I do for my age. 38 meant your life was 3/5ths over not that long ago.

How angry people are all the time. The internet has served as a mouthpiece for people that used keep their thoughts to themselves for risk that someone would knock their teeth out their skull. Now people think it's their right to let everyone know what they're thinking all the time whether anyone wants to hear it or not. I love the internet, but sometimes wish that we could go back to a society that secretly seethed from the inside so that we may regain our tact as a country.

Everything in my house is a miracle compared to what I had as a child.

That I'm still the only sibling with a college degree.

That the whole world is safer than it's ever been, which might have something to do with number two of the things I've mentioned.

Certainly all the sociological changes are mind boggling but I’ll go with this:

Back when the Saints played in the ole Sugar Bowl Stadium, there was always a rocket man that flew from one goal post to the other. I’m surprised that that technology hasn’t advanced more to where everybody has a rocket pack these days !

The lack of kids outside playing. They’re all inside on their phones and playing games.

The Democratic Party has morphed into the Communist Party that Americans abhorred.

They are pushing the same brand of fascism that oppressed the Soviet people for decades.

Off the top of my huge head...

1. That my parents, who are 89, and 85, are still going strong. Because: When my dad had bypass surgery in his fifties, they told him he'd be lucky to live another 10 years.

2. That going to college has become so expensive. Because: Tuition was low enough that I only owed for my last year when I graduated. I could work construction every summer, and make enough to pay off the loans for the previous two semesters.

3. That I'm still getting into ballgames without a ticket. I got into SEC football games in the 70's ushering as a Boy Scout. Covered Mavericks games for 30 years, and can still walk into high school games, and watch from the sideline without paying. Still love sports enough to go.

4. As others have said, the technology we expected, like flying cars and Star Trek-like transporters may not exist,
but we can slice and dice with our phones.

That people really dont live in the moment and enjoy things or places. All they want to do is take a selfie to prove or show off where they are at to post on FB.

That the internet has seemingly made us dumber. And that Americans don’t seem to care about liberty.

So much!

I was born in the early 60's...

GPS systems....I had to learn to read a map and use a compass

Computing technology....In High School we were excited to get the latest technology with the IBM Selectric typewriter...it could correct typing mistakes without white out!

The internet.....so much information and misinformation that is at the tip of your fingertips.

Weapons technology...my old man was in the artillery...hes gone now but he would not believe the capabilities

Going out to dinner as a family was a special occasion that we did every Sunday..we all looked forward to it and enjoyed interacting with each other. Now people eat out more then they eat at home...and stare at their phones instead of interacting with each other

Corruption of our Govt....we are the most corrupt government in the world it appears with what is going to be exposed by AG Barr

How fat people are in the US...and the availability of fast food.

LGBTQ and gender transitions....and the promoting of it to young children.

Overall....the human race seems to be getting more insane and frenetic at an exponential rate. I worry about my children and grand children....and then I realize all of the stuff my parents worried about and how we have no idea what the future is going to be like...

Pros: Cell Phones, TV price and size

Cons: The level and depth of violence in our society in general. And the total lack of respect for law enforcement and human life in general among large segments of society.

One more... The price of vehicles, especially new vehicles, is insane.

You could build a really nice new house 35 years ago for the price of a decked out F-150 today.
