Right?
Yours are gonna fail because of weak genes and poor home schooling.

meh.
as per usual. if parents implement good home school regiments and stick with it through the rest of their curriculum, in theory, they should be fine.
if they are shitty parents, then yes, they will fail. as per usual.

We were all starting 4th quarter. When teachers get to those same topics next year, there can be a little extra review. Not a big deal. Like others said, we were a few weeks from testing anyway. Also, in the AP we are still full force teaching, so...

Ole Johnny and Latakia’s last 7-8 weeks Of school was the clincher.

Right?
There was only 2.5 months of school left when it got canceled. My kids are still getting tutored in Math while being out and they are doing some language and science stuff online. I think they will be ok to move on to the next grade.

Lemme guess you failed 4th grade math as a kid but your parents didn't hold you back?
Kids completed 3/4 of the school year and are missing a short quarter with a week of spring break and a BS final week of school. I think they'll be okay.

My kid is doing 4 hours of schoolwork per day. We are including the lessons supplied by the teacher and also some outside sources for learning to prepare him for the next grade
Amazing that homeschool can teach the kids more in 4 hours than what they get in 7 hours at school.

Kids don’t fail anymore. It’s the weirdest thing -

These kids are basically missing 2 weeks of instruction.
April is nothing but Easter break, test prep, and testing.
May is nothing but field trips and learning useless crap that doesn't get tested.
The two weeks lost will hurt. Teachers at the next grade level will need to keep that in mind when planning lessons next year, especially in the fundamental subjects like math.
