Pretty sure Whose Line is it Anyways was a early 2000s thing but if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Still greatness either way.

The news was so much better then. Big news was truly big news and captivated everyone - OJ, the Olympics and the bombing, Lewinsky, Y2K, etc.

The Wild West days of the internet were great. Heck gaming was in its Wild West days as well.

90's (and 80's) country music. Since the industry "went back to its roots" in 2001 or so it all sounds the same to me. Miss Restless Heart, Shenandoah, Tracy Lawrence, Neal McCoy, etc.

I swear to almighty God, I don't remember much of the 90's to even comment. But when I think about it, that is an incredible endorsement of the decade itself. And, whatever.

My 20s. Seeing Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, and Jane's Addiction at Tipitina's for a few dollars. Seeing a triple header of Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Municipal auditorium for about $15.

Things could be crazy without being pathetically insane.

Things could be funny and offensive without causing a crisis.

Politics was crazy as usual except it stayed in its little box most of the times for most people.

Let's just bring in the oddity of limited cell, only pagers. Bookies - real bookies - and not online blah blah. I worked for the world's largest paging company at the time. In 1996, we had a 3 drink max policy for lunch. That wasn't an unwritten rule. It was rule lol. 5 days a week, we started our evenings off at noon.

Corporate litigation wasn't what it is today. Not on the HR side at least. God, it was a great time.

Let me ask. How cool were your parents while you were playing in the dirt?
