I was just called a racist about 10 mins ago because I said both innocent lives being lost and property being destroyed were wrong. And that neither needed to be "prioritized" because we can accomplish both at the same time.

I worked for 6 years, part time and full, during HS and college, at a barber college in a city center, where I was the only white person among 86 black guys and pretty much a clientele of only black folks. I was called a racist just for saying hello to customers, routinely. I was called a racist by students for siting people in their chairs to get haircuts. Called a racist for telling them they couldnt smoke in the front of the building blocking the entrance. Pretty much called a racist just for anything that involved me doing anything.
I was also spit on, refused to talk to, called pretty much anything you can think of(Cracker, White N-word", White devil, etc..), slapped once, and many more things, just for being there.

I was driving my old Model A pickup around town when I saw a black kid about 8 walking - hauling a case of green beans to his house. He's one of 12 kids and the mother is not friendly (but the kids are). So, I gave him a ride. He had to ride in the back because my Aussie Shepherd dog was with me and she hates kids (or anyone coming into vehicle I'm in that she doesn't know).
The mother started to give me some attitude until I said "the dog would eat him alive if he rode up front."
She still doesn't talk to me. The kids always ask me to hit the horn (an old time ah-ooo-gah horn) when I drive by.

I once laughed at a joke said by a fellow black employee and in the midst of laughing said; “boy that’s funny!”
