Just like many laws, Louisiana policemen only utilize them for potential DWIs

When driving through Atlanta on I-20 West , there is a posted speed limit of 50mph just after the capitol building. I laugh when I see it. I usually go 70. Or more which is “super speeder”, but the average speed is around 75 or 80.

Earheart Expressway through New Orleans/Metairie is the same thing. It is a three lane highway with a 50 mph speed limit. If you do 50 you are going to get killed. The average speed is around 70 (which is safe) yet if LSP want to be dicks, they can write 20 plus over tickets all day.

This road is nothing more than a revenue generator.

Anyone who thinks speeding is the problem needs to read up on the autobahn. They have lanes with no speed limit and very few wrecks, comparatively. Difference being people in Germany go through rigorous driving classes prior to getting a license and actually follow the rules of the road.

Need to work I-10/I-12. LSP would earn enough to pay for the BR loop in a few weeks.

18 Wheelers seem to typically be alright when it comes to the rules of the road.

For every 1 a-hole 18 wheeler, I seem to come across 50 a-hole car drivers.
True, but now that many or most of them are governed to limit their max speed, it takes them forever to pass another 18-wheeler or slow driver. I've been behind 18-wheelers that take several miles to pass another because they're doing 70 mph while passing another doing 69 mph. fricking irritating.

I say everyone's license plate should be their cell phone number.

That way when an idiot is blocking the left lane..........you can call them and tell them to get out of the damn way!
