I did love Atari and then Nintendo but I feel like that was kind of the end of an era. The 80s were the last decade where kids were independent, imaginative, rambunctious, and just getting after it outside and with their imaginations. shite, we’d just head out on our bikes at 8 years old and had to be home by dark. Up north same thing, we’d be out on the lake or in the woods trying to push trees over and shite.

Lol. Growing up in the '80s was fricking amazing. It's been downhill ever since.

Calling the radio station to request a song and dedicate it to a crush, waiting what felt like an eternity in hopes it would be played, while taping it for posterity.
Kids today wouldn't understand.

The rise of malls were also the death of small town downtowns, which our elders who grew up in the 50s and 60s would lament.
It’d kinda gone back the other way the last 20 years, with downtown living and shopping becoming a thing again, but now in the last 3 has gone back to the burbs again. Won’t talk about why. But the flight is back on.
