I'll be going to that area for a few days in December. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance

Cotton Sail Club for drinks in Savannah. A little pricey for me but it's a nice rooftop bar overlooking the river. Can have a good happy hour crowd.

Mrs Wilkes for southern comfort food. There will be a line.

Circa 1875 for French.

Skip Hilton head unless you like human filth. Dirtiest sports fans I ever came across.

It's Golf Mecca. I'd say bring your clubs. Only thing I don't like is its target golf. Very tight, trees and water everywhere, very few holes you can rip a driver, mostly hitting to a specific distance.

River St in Savannah is really all you need to see there. HH is a family type island, plenty of golf and good food. Golf clubs necessary.

Ignore this man

Depends on what you're looking for as time fillers. If it's about the charm of the city, walking the squares and checking out the bars, restaurants and breweries is awesome. The multiple squares are beautiful. And they're off the river mostly.

If you like history, plenty to be had. I really like Pulaski.

If you wanna do the beach bum thing, I have a soft spot for crab shack even though it's gotten very touristy. Captains platter

If you are into Civil War history, visit Fort Pulaski

Downtown Savannah is a great walking city. lots of parks and plazas to explore. River St. felt very touristy but still offers nice views.

Do not expect great food and local beer. I was disappointed in that regard.

You mean Hilton Head, Ohio right?

Beat me to it.

If you like Ohio yankees and that annoyingly nasal accent of theirs, you'll love it. For some reason people from Ohio have flocked not only to Hilton Head but SC in general...much to the dismay of native South Carolinians.

If you can get past the Ohio contingent, HH is an absolutely beautiful island with tons of stuff to do, almost all of which is family oriented. Lots and lots of golf resorts as well if you're into that. 12 miles of uninterrupted beaches and it's one of the most breathtaking sunsets/sunrises you'll ever see.
